Christine Waun is the founder and principal of Christine A. Waun, P.C., which provides a wide range of legal services to individuals and businesses. Christine provides comprehensive and highly personalized estate planning counsel to individuals and families regarding trusts, retirement benefits planning, wealth preservation, asset protection, and gift and estate tax planning. She is especially adept at helping affluent families navigate their unique planning challenges, and takes a team approach to fully addressing a clients’ needs, collaborating with financial advisors, certified public accountants, and insurance professionals.

Christine also has extensive experience representing individuals and businesses on a broad array of issues, including formation of business entities, contract drafting and negotiation, purchase and sale of medical practices and other businesses, real estate acquisition, divestiture, and leasing, and business succession planning.

On various occasions, Christine has obtained favorable IRS Private Letter Rulings for clients with challenging taxation issues.

A frequent lecturer on estate planning issues, Christine has presented to and on behalf of banks, insurance companies, financial advisors and investment firms. She is also a Member of Wealth Counsel LLC, the Business Law, Probate & Estate Planning, and Taxation Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Genesee County Bar Association.

Christine earned a Masters of Law degree in Taxation from Wayne State University, graduated cum laude from the Detroit College of Law, and obtained her Bachelors of Business Administration degree with distinction from the University of Michigan.
